Pain, pain, go away
As always, the monthly demon has arrived. These few days have been rough, everything hurts. And it's taken a toll on my mental state, because I feel like snapping every few hours. I'm trying to consume as much Arashi content as possible to keep me sane, because I feel bad for everyone around me having to deal with a person that's basically a ticking time-bomb...
Surprisingly, I've been rather productive: finished another module and even wrote out 2 reports I had been putting off...
One thing I'm looking forward to is getting my new Switch! Me and my sister finally made the plunge (because I'll be going home in about 2 weeks so I can bring it over). Excited to start Zelda :3

Already preparing myself for tomorrow; having to be extra social with colleagues since we're all doing a bbq / dinner/ get-together after work where we bring in food from our different countries (since we're probably the most international team in the building). My mee hoon is cooked and ready, although I'm not completely confident on the taste haha.

Yesterday was honestly exhausting, I left work at 5.10pm despite it being Friday and core hours are only 9.30am - 3pm... But hey, got what I needed to do done, and that's good. Planning to enjoy today since it seems like all my friends from different times of my life are wanting to catch up ahaha so I guess that's what my day will be like.

Third time lucky: a formulation I've been trying to prepare since last week... I finally got it right orz. That's the good thing of the day, I can finally move on.
Had a discussion with my supervisors about my final report, and I think it went good! Even if it isn't due till the end of July, I think I'd want it done by the end of June just to be safe (aiming for the almost impossible ahaha). Sixty pages sound daunting, but I had trouble making sure my abstract was under 200 words so... (surprised I managed to get that done today but I'm sure it'll change again).

Let's try
So today marks the day that I finally got my Dreamwidth account up and running (by transferring my old stuff from LJ over) and I think it's a good time to try something. For now, I'll treat it as my own personal diary for "One good thing a day" - to remind myself to see the good. For the past few months, things have been so stressful, and I honestly need an outlet that is a little more healthy than just bottling it up and bursting into tears when it accumulates. So hopefully by constantly remembering things that make me happy, I can keep on feeling that way. But I'll also probably just end up spewing whatever I'm feeling for the day, but at least that'll save my friends from having to hear me whine.
For today, seeing Yuzuru pictures! Took a look back at the mooks I bought after the Olympics, and I'm still in awe over his beauty. So glad I properly got back into figure skating (or more specifically Team Japan).
